New Submission Policy for Generation 2008

Deadline: 1 May 2008*Extended to 15th June*
To celebrate our fifth year, Generation has decided to print a FULL COLOUR EDITION. If you’re interested in joining us for 2008, you can submit in either one of the 3 following formats:
1. Colour Pin-Ups (with your bio)
Size:18.2 cmX 20cm. 300dpi
colour mode:CMYK
content: Any content that complies with our submission policy(i.e.PG rating content)
2. Colour Comics
size: B5 (18.2cmX25.7cm).300dpi
colour mode: CMYK
page limit: 1 – 10 pages
3. B/W Comics
size: B5 (18.2cmX25.7cm).300dpi
colour mode: Grayscale
page limit: 1 – 10 pages
* If we cannot print your workfor 2008 due to page limit issues – It’ll be published for 2009.
4. Cover
For Generation 2008 Colour Edition, we will invite Areku-demon to make our cover art (and it’ll be in B/W XD), so no cover entries will be accepted this year.

Generation 2007 has 54 pages in total, and are available online at $8 each at Minotaurs (Melbourne), and it’ll soon be available in Kings Comics (Sydney)

SMASH!, with the support of Wacom, have announced a wide range of Art Competitions for budding artists to sink their teeth into.
SMASH! the Sydney Manga and Anime Show, is a one day convention celebrating anime, manga and japanese pop culture. They’ve got all these cool prizes to give away too, so share your artistic creativity and passion and engage in a bit of competition love at SMASH!
There’ll be 4 different competitions, with prizes including Copic markers and one of several Wacom graphics tablets! Categories include Traditional Media, Digital Media, 4-Panel Comic and an on-the-day doodling competition. The deadline is August 18, so submit your artwork at the convention for the chance to win!
